We are obsessed with food

With a combined 23 years in the food business, our love of cooking is part of who we are. If you consider yourself a “foodie,” we’re probably the right fit for you.

Our style is eclectic, and our cuisine covers everything from contemporary American comfort food, to traditional Mediterranean and French, to Latin and Asian inspired, from healthy to sinful.

We make all of our food from scratch, the yummy old fashioned way, and even grow some of our own ingredients. But we also appreciate modern luxuries like seafood flown in fresh from the Atlantic and Pacific, and succulent New Zealand lamb chops. And because it’s all natural, we can offer gluten free options, and do our best to accommodate other requests.

We cater all events, large or small. Plated service is available to about 250 guests. Up to 450, it’s themed stations, buffet, or family style service. Professional but friendly, knowledgeable but not pretentious, we take pride in taking care of our clients.

The Runaway Spoon wants your event to be a reflection of you. That’s why we partner with our clients to ensure that their meal is as unique and diverse as they are. We do not have a fixed menu, which allows us to create a customized meal to match every client’s style and budget.

Do you provide bar service?
Yes, we have a partnership with a local craft beer & wine bar that provides full service for us.

How far do you travel?
We cater to the Green Bay and Appleton areas,
as well as Door County.

Do you have a restaurant?
No, our business is only off site catering and pastries. Our kitchen is in east De Pere, and we can host small groups for tastings and cooking classes.

How long have you been in business?
Six years.

What venues do you cater to?
Weidner Center, Ledgestone Winery, Green Bay Botanical Garden, Heritage Hill, Woodwalk Gallery, and generally anywhere that allows off site caterers.

Do you provide gluten free catering?
Yes, and we have lot’s of experience.

Where do you get your food?
Our meat and seafood come from a purveyor in Madison, who also serves the top few restaurants in Green Bay. We grow all of our own herbs, and dozens of heirloom tomato varieties.
